Description

15(R)-15-methyl Prostaglandin E2 is a PGE2 analog which undergoes acid catalyzed epimerization to the more biologicallly active isomer, 15(S)-15-methyl PGE2. This compound has been shown to inhibit gastric acid secretion and increase the total ouput and rate of output of duodenal bicarbonate secretion.
