Description

LTE₄ (Leukotriene E₄) is a potent eicosanoid lipid mediator that is generated from arachidonic acid by 5-lipoxygenase. This compound has been found to elicit long-lasting bronchial contractions and be involved in allergic bronchoconstriction mediation. Additional studies show that LTE₄ and other leukotrienes are involved in various homeostatic biological functions and specifically affect G protein-coupled receptors. LTE4 (Leukotriene E4) is an activator of CysLT1 Receptor.
