Description

eIF-2α Inhibitor II, Sal003A is a potent cell-permeable analog of the eIF2α phosphatase inhibitor salubrinal with enhanced aqueous solubility. This compound has been shown to prevent dephosphorylation of eIF-2α which has been shown to regulate the late phase of long-term potentiation (LTP) and memory (LTM). This enhanced phosphorylated state of eIF-2α is shown to prevent L-LTP and suppress memory in mice.
