PGB2 (Prostaglandin B2) is part of a family of biologically potent lipids from membrane phospholipids. They are comprised of a C20-unsaturated fatty acid containing a cyclopentane ring. PGB2 is the most abundant prostaglandin released from osteoblasts. Inhibits glucagon-stimulated hepatocyte cAMP accumulation. PGB2 (Prostaglandin B2) is an activator of TXA2R.
