Description

Thielavin A is a potent Cox (prostaglandin, PG synthetase) inhibitor derived from Thielavia terricola. Studies show that Thielavins A inhibits the transformation of arachinodic acid into prostaglandin H2. Thielavins A and B are composed of three hydroxybenzoic acid groups and are structurally related to depsides. Thielavin A is an inhibitor of G6Pase.
