Description

9-Thiastearic acid has been shown to inhibit the desaturation of radiolabeled stearate to oleate in rat hepatocytes and hepatoma cells (>80% inhibition at 25 µM). This makes 9-thiastearic acid a useful tool for researching associated hypolipidemic effects.
