Description

Tetrahydrouridine is a potent competitive inhibitor of cytidine deaminase (CDD). It can inhibit cell proliferation by regulation of the cell cycle independent of cytidine deaminase (CDA) expression levels. Tetrahydrouridine may be useful for researching potential treatments for high CDA-expressing tumors.
