Description

TEMPONE, or 4-oxo-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidine-N-oxyl, is a stable nitroxyl radical compound and a derivative of TEMPO used as a spin trap agent for in vitro experiments. Reaction between TEMPONE and biologically significant reactive oxygen species can be monitored by ESR spectroscopy.
