Safety & Transport Information

When heated to 150°C it decomposes to form a gas which ignites spontaneously in air. The dry powder can ignite spontaneously if a large surface area is exposed to air (e.g. on a filter paper). When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Na2O. See also ACETYLIDES.
