Description

NTNCB hydrochloride is a potent, selective, competitive non-peptidic NPY5-R antagonist. K_i values are 8.0 and 16032 nM at human recombinant NPY5-R and NPY1-R respectively. NTNCB hydrochloride potently antagonizes NPY (neuropeptide Y) inhibition of forskolin-stimulated cAMP. NTNCB hydrochloride shows some affinity for cloned human D₂ and α_2C receptors (K_i values are 63 and 100 nM respectively).
