12-(7-Nitrobenzofurazan-4-ylamino)dodecanoic acid is an amine-reactive, environment sensitive, fluorescent fatty acid analog that is used in probing the ligand binding sites of fatty acids and sterol carrier proteins. It is also useful in bioconjugation.
