Confirmed human carcinogen. Poison by intraperitoneal route. A powerful oxidizer. Mixtures with 2,2-dimethoxypropane explode when heated above 65°C. When heated to decomposition it emits toxic fumes of Cl−. See also NICKEL COMPOUNDS and PERCHLORATES.
