Description

D-myo-Inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate trilithium salt is an important metabolite that controls a variety of cellular functions such as proliferation, metabolism, and secretion. Enzymatic hydrolysis of the parent phospholipid produces Ins(1,4,5)P3, which is then released into the cytoplasm and functions as a secondary messenger for mobilization of Ca2+ from intracellular stores.
