Description
4,5-Methylenedioxy-1,2-phenylenediamine dihydrochloride is the dihydrochloride salt preparation of 4,5-Methylenedioxy-1,2-phenylenediamine, a useful fluorogenic probe for α-ketoacids. The diamine functionality of 4,5-Methylenedioxy-1,2-phenylenediamine reacts with α-ketoacids of interest, producing a fluorescent adduct which can then be detected by HPLC.
