Description

4-{[3',4'-(Methylenedioxy)benzyl]amino}-6-methoxyquinazoline has been demonstrated to be a specific and potent inhibitor of PDE5A (cGMP-specific phosphodiesterase). Additionally, it has also been shown in isolated porcine coronary arteries, to elevate the intracellular cGMP level without causing any change in the cAMP level. It is not shown to have an effect on other PDE isozymes.
