Description

R 568 hydrochloride is an activator and allosteric agonist of the CaSR (calcium-sensing receptor) via positive allosteric modulation. R 568 hydrochloride exhibits calcimimetic activity. R 568 hydrochloride has the ability to restore function to hCaSR mutants that cause familial hypocalciuric hypercalcemia (FHH) and neonatal severe hyperparathyroidism (NSHPT). R 568 hydrochloride exerts a suppressive effect on parathyroid (PT) hormone secretion.
