Description

R-96544 hydrochloride is a potent, selective SR-2 antagonist. It displays some selectivity for SR-2A (K_i = 1.6 nM). IC₅₀ values are 2.2, 310, 2400, 3700, > 5000 and > 5000 nM for SR-2, α1-adrenergic, D₂ dopamine, SR-1, SR-3 and β-adrenergic receptors, respectively. R-96544 hydrochloride inhibits pressor responses and serotonin-induced platelet aggregation in vivo.
