Description

NS8593 hydrochloride is a reversible SK3-mediated current inhibitor in human and rat SK3. NS8593 hydrochloride also decreases the calcium sensitivity by shifting the Ca2+ activation curve to the right which only slightly affects the maximal Ca2+ -activated SK current. NS8593 hydrochloride inhibits all SK1-SK3 subtypes Ca2+-dependently. However, in the presence of high concentrations of NS309, the NS8593 hydrochloride-mediated inhibition is prevented.
