Description

13(S)-HPODE is a hydroperoxide formed from the oxidation of linoleic acid shown to be a potent suppressor of platelets. Other effects include inhibiting prostacyclin synthase and activating PPARalpha in rat Fao, but not in human HepG2 hepatoma cell lines. Has shown to constrict isolated coronary arteries.
