Description

(-)-3-Dehydro Shikimic Acid is a ketone metabolite of Shikimic Acid. (-)-3-Dehydro Shikimic Acid has been described as an intermediate in the synthesis of isotopically labeled 5-enolpyruvylshikimate 3-phosphate compounds for studying the shikimate pathway, where it was generated by enzymatic dehydration of 3-Dehydroquinic acid with dehydroquinase.
