5(6)-Carboxy-2',7'-dichlorofluorescein diacetate N-succinimidyl ester is a fluorescent tracer experimentally shown to be an intracellular protein labelling compound. It is initially colorless and non-fluorescent, but upon hydrolysis by intracellular esterases it expresses bright green fluoresence. Suggested to be an amine reactive label.
