Calcium Ionophore A23187 hemimagnesium salt is an Ionophore that is highly selective for Ca+2. It potentiates responses to NMDA but not quisqualate. In cell culture, this stimulates nitric oxide production by calmodulin-dependent constitutive nitric oxide synthase.
