Description

Precursor to a chiral Bronsted acid, employed in the catalysis of an enantioselective aza Diels-Alder reaction providing bicyclic lactams. Rare earth metal complexes of this chiral binapthol catalyze an intramolecular hydroamination of amino olefins leading to chiral pyrrolidines.
