Description

Asterric acid is an antibiotic, fungal metabolite. It inhibits the vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced tube formation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC). Asterric acid has also been shown to inhibit the binding of endothelin-1 to the endothelin receptor type A (ET_A) in A10 cells.
