Arachidonoyl-N-methyl amide is an analog of anandamide (AEA) that binds to the human CB1 receptor (K_i = 60 nM). At concentrations of 50 μM and higher, arachidonoyl-N-methyl amide demonstrates complete inhibition of rat glial gap junction cell-cell communication.
